Hey everyone! I'm Lin, and I had a small cosmetic procedure done in Seoul the day before yesterday. Now my face is a bit swollen and I have some bruising. This is my first time doing something like this in Korea, and I'm not really sure about the recovery process……
I wanted to ask how you all usually handle post-procedure swelling and bruising? I've heard that cold compress and elevation help, but what's the best way to do it specifically? How long should I apply it for? And is there anything I need to watch out for diet-wise? Right now I'm just using ice packs on my face and it seems to help a bit, but I'm not sure if my method is correct.
Also, how long does the recovery period usually take? I have to go back to work the day after tomorrow…… Has anyone experienced something similar? How did you speed up your recovery? I'd really appreciate any tips and tricks you can share! My doctor gave me some basic advice, but I'd love to hear real stories and hacks from actual people.

Rin, I completely understand how you feel! I was also anxious when I had a procedure done in Korea for the first time because I wasn't sure about the recovery process. It seems like cooling is really important. I did the same thing and used ice packs to cool the area. I think following your doctor's instructions is the most reliable approach, so if you have any questions, it might be a good idea to reach out to the clinic without hesitation 😊
I'm also thinking about doing a similar small procedure, and I got a bit nervous seeing what you went through! But it sounds like you're already using ice therapy, which should be the right approach. I'm also a bit concerned about the recovery timeline and conflicts with work, so I'm looking forward to hearing from experienced sisters who can share their insights—that way I can feel more confident going ahead with it 😅
