Hi everyone, I'm planning a trip to Seoul next month for a consultation about some treatments, but I'm a little worried about the language barrier. I only speak English and Vietnamese; I don't know Korean. Do any of you have experience with English-speaking consultations there? Do clinics offer English support, or do I need a private interpreter?
I've heard that some well-known clinics in Seoul have English-speaking staff, but I'm not sure about aesthetic clinics. Has anyone been there before and can share their experience? I want to be well-prepared before booking a consultation. Thanks!

I understand your concerns! I was also worried about the language barrier when I first went for a consultation in Seoul. In my experience, some places have staff who speak English, but not all of them do, so I recommend calling or emailing beforehand to ask if they can provide English support.
Wow, I'm worried about this too! Have you tried calling the clinic before you go to ask if they have English-speaking staff? From what I've heard, some places do, but it's better to confirm first to avoid any hassle.
I'm also considering going to Seoul for a consultation, and I totally understand your language concerns! I've seen some hospitals where you can ask if they have English-speaking staff when you make an appointment. Sending an email to confirm in advance should provide more assurance, saving you the trouble of finding a translator on the spot.
I understand, you're worried about the language barrier! I was thinking the same thing, and I think the most reliable way is to email the hospital directly beforehand to inquire about their English support. It seems like larger hospitals are usually quite accommodating, and even if they aren't, you might be able to discuss it with them. Good luck!
I'm actually planning a trip to Seoul soon for a consultation too, so I totally feel you on the language worry! I've heard that some places do have English-speaking staff, especially the bigger ones, but honestly I think it's worth calling ahead to ask directly what they can offer rather than assuming—some places are way better equipped than others. Let me know what you find out because I'm in the same boat!
