Hey everyone, I'm seriously considering traveling from the US to Seoul for a double eyelid procedure, but I'm trying to figure out if it's actually worth the time and effort of the trip. Part of me is drawn to Korea because I know there's a lot of expertise there, but I'm also dealing with the reality of international travel, recovery time away from home, and figuring out logistics. Has anyone here done this? I'm trying to understand what the actual experience is like — not just the procedure itself, but the whole process of being a foreign patient.
I guess my main hesitation is: how much of the appeal is real, and how much is hype? Like, are people getting significantly better results by going abroad, or is it more about cost, or just the experience of being in Korea? I'm also wondering about practical stuff — how long would I realistically need to stay, what's the recovery like when you're in an unfamiliar place, and how do you handle follow-ups if something needs adjusting after you're back home?
I'd love to hear from anyone who's considered this or actually done it. What made you decide one way or the other? I'm not looking for a specific recommendation, just trying to get real perspectives on whether this is a smart move or if I should explore options closer to home. Any thoughts?
