Hi everyone! I'm Shuang. I had a minor cosmetic procedure done in Seoul a couple of days ago, and I'm experiencing some swelling and bruising. Although the doctor gave me some basic advice, I'd love to hear how you all typically manage this stage. Are there any little everyday tips that can help speed up recovery?
Right now, I'm mainly alternating between cold compresses and keeping my head elevated, but I'm not sure if this is the most effective approach. I've heard some people use special masks or eat certain foods to reduce swelling faster, and I'm not sure if those are actually helpful. Has anyone been able to share their recovery experience? For example, how did you care for yourself in the first few days, and when did you start seeing results?
Also, I wanted to ask if there are any small details, besides what the doctor mentioned, that require special attention after this type of procedure? For instance, regarding diet, exercise, or skincare routines. I haven't done this before and feel a bit lost, so I'm really eager to hear your insights! Thanks, everyone!

Hey Shuang! I also experienced this for the first time a few months ago, and I was really confused at first, hehe. Can I ask, besides cold compresses and elevation, have you tried drinking a lot of water? I heard from friends that some people say it helps, but I'm still unsure myself 😅 How has your experience been so far?
Girl, I totally get how you're feeling! It was my first time too, and I was so worried with all the swelling the first few days 😅 Right now, I'm just diligently doing cold compresses, drinking lots of water, and keeping my diet light. I'm following the doctor's instructions to the letter. There don't seem to be any magic secrets, just patience. I feel like it only started to gradually improve around day 5-7. Hope we both recover quickly!
