Hi everyone, I'm Juan from China. I'm currently considering getting some skin management and minimally invasive procedures in Seoul, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier. My English is pretty good, but I'm not so sure about medical terminology, and my Korean is even worse.
I'd like to ask for your advice—is it enough to communicate in English when having an initial consultation at a clinic in Seoul? Or is it safer to find a translator or speak Korean? I've heard that some clinics have Chinese-speaking staff, but I'm not sure if this is common practice.
Also, if I need to make an appointment, is it important to communicate my needs in advance? I want to minimize misunderstandings, especially since it involves my face, so I need to be careful. Have any of you had similar experiences? Please share how you overcame the language barrier!
