Hi everyone! I'm Mei, and I'm currently considering getting some cosmetic procedures done in Korea, but I'm honestly a little uneasy. Since I'm not Korean and my language skills aren't fluent, I'm particularly worried about communication issues.
I'd like to ask those of you who have had cosmetic procedures done in Korea, how do you usually find clinics? Are there any ways to ensure a clinic is reliable? For example, do they offer translation services? What language is safest to use during consultations—English or Chinese?
Also, what questions should I ask during the initial consultation to determine if the doctor and clinic are professional? I know everyone's situation is different, but I really don't want to make a mistake. Would anyone be willing to share their experiences or offer advice? Thank you!

I completely understand how you feel, Mei! I had the same anxieties. When you have your first consultation, I recommend checking by email beforehand to see if the hospital offers English-language support. Also, reading blogs and social media posts from people who have actually been there can give you an idea of what the communication is like and help put your mind at ease.
May, I understand you! I was also very worried at first as a foreigner, and the language barrier was also a major issue. You need to be gentle with the doctor at first and ask lots of questions — ask about their experience, what kind of services they provide, etc. If there is something you don’t understand, ask again. It’s really important to have a referral service, because that makes you feel better.
