Hey everyone! I'm planning a trip to Seoul next month and I'm seriously considering getting some aesthetic work done while I'm there. My Korean is basically nonexistent (like, I can say hello and thank you, that's it lol), and I'm getting a little nervous about the consultation process. Has anyone been through this as an English speaker? Do most places in Seoul have English-speaking staff, or should I be bringing a translator? I've heard conflicting things — some people say it's totally fine, others mention they wished they had someone with them. I'm wondering if I should try to find a clinic that specifically advertises English consultations, or if that's overthinking it. Any tips from people who've actually done this? Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences!

I'm also considering going to Seoul to do the same thing, and the language barrier does make me a bit nervous! But I've heard that many hospitals actually offer English consultation services. You can check with them in advance via email or through their website, which might give you more peace of mind.
I was also worried about the language barrier at first, but when I searched online, I made sure to choose places that clearly advertised English services. During consultations, I messaged them beforehand via email to let them know I spoke English, and they arranged for staff who could communicate in English. So I think you don't need to bring anyone with you, just be proactive in searching and contacting them in advance!
I'm also considering something similar, and I completely understand your concerns! My suggestion is to look for places that explicitly state they offer English consultations beforehand. This will give you more peace of mind, and many clinics now have translation tools or arrange English-speaking staff, so you don't need to be too nervous.
