Hi everyone, I'm Wei, from China. I'm currently considering getting a small procedure done in South Korea, but I've run into a problem—many cosmetic clinic reviews are in Korean, and my Korean is limited, so sometimes the translations I use feel off. I'd like to ask you all, how do you determine the authenticity of reviews? Are there any obvious warning signs I should be wary of?
For example, are reviews that seem too perfect suspicious? Also, I've heard that some clinics write their own positive reviews, but as a foreigner, I can't tell the difference. Additionally, if the reviews are full of medical jargon or have an overly formal tone, does that also indicate a problem? I want to find a reliable place, but I don't want to be scammed, so I'd like to hear your experiences and advice.
Another question—do you usually contact the clinics directly to ask questions, or is there a safer way to verify if a place is trustworthy? Looking forward to your replies!

Hi Wei, I totally relate to your confusion! I also struggle with Korean reviews, and translators sometimes produce strange results, haha. In my experience, reviews that are too perfect and use convoluted medical terms are usually suspicious, and it's safer to directly DM or call the clinic to ask about the procedure details than just trusting reviews—they usually answer, and you can tell from their response whether they're trustworthy or not.
