My name is Ngoc, I'm from Vietnam, and I'm considering going to Seoul for some minor cosmetic procedures. However, I'm worried about communication because I don't know any Korean, only basic English. Do any of you have experience with consultations at clinics in Seoul? Is English sufficient, or should I learn some basic Korean before going?
I've heard that some large clinics have staff who speak foreign languages, but I'm not entirely sure. Especially during consultations, I need to clearly understand what I'm about to undergo and the potential risks, not just a simple "yes" or "no." Has anyone else encountered a similar situation? I'm afraid of misunderstanding or misinterpreting what the doctor says.
Thank you for sharing your experiences! I really need this information to better prepare for my trip.

I totally understand your concerns 😅 I've been there and started with the same worries. But actually, most large hospitals have English-speaking staff, and some even have translators or translation apps for consultations. Try finding out if others have been there or contact the CoE beforehand to make sure they handle the language barrier!
