Hey everyone! So I'm planning a trip to Korea in a couple months and I'm seriously thinking about getting some aesthetic work done while I'm there. I've heard amazing things about Korean clinics, but honestly I'm a bit nervous about the whole process as a foreigner who doesn't speak Korean.
I'm mainly wondering — how do you all go about finding a clinic you can actually trust? Like, what do you look for, and how do you communicate with the doctors if you don't speak the language? Do most places have English-speaking staff, or do you bring your own interpreter? I'm also curious about whether consultations are thorough enough when there's a language barrier.
Also, any tips on red flags I should watch out for? I want to make sure I'm going somewhere reputable that takes the time to really listen to what I want.
Thanks so much in advance — this community has been so helpful! 💕

I'm also having second thoughts, but I'm planning to go to Seoul at the end of this year! I think language barriers are a valid concern, but many people have told me that most places have English-speaking staff. I think you should write down your detailed questions before your consultation 💕
I'm literally in the same boat right now — planning a trip in a few months and thinking about getting something done while I'm there! I've been stressing about the language thing too, so I'm glad you asked. From what I've read in this community, a lot of places do have English-speaking staff or coordinators, but it definitely seems like doing your homework beforehand and maybe even reaching out to places via email to check their language support makes a huge difference. Curious to see what others say about spotting red flags too!
I'm from the UAE and went for treatment in Korea a year ago. The most important thing that helped me was asking the clinic in advance if they had any staff who spoke Arabic or English — I called them from here and there was no problem! I also recommend looking at before-and-after photos of regular clients, not influencers, so you can get a real sense of the results 💕
I totally understand your concerns! Have you considered reaching out to some places in advance to ask if they offer consultations in Chinese or English? I was also worried about the language barrier before, but it seems like most places have ways to communicate.
