Hi everyone, I'm Hong. I'm considering getting a cosmetic procedure done in Korea, but as a foreigner, I'm really unsure where to start. I'm worried about language barriers and being ripped off, so I'd like to ask how everyone finds clinics?
I've heard some clinics have English translators or staff who speak foreign languages, but I'm unsure how to tell if they're reliable. Could anyone share what you look for when choosing a clinic? For example, how do you verify their qualifications, or what questions should you ask during the consultation? Is translation really that important?
Also, are there any warning signs to avoid? I want to find a place where communication is genuinely smooth and transparent, not where I feel like I'm being taken advantage of. I would be so grateful if experienced women could share some advice!

Hey Hong, I totally get the anxiety—I'm in the same boat right now! I've been reading a lot about asking for before/afters of actual patients (not just the clinic's portfolio), getting a detailed consultation in writing, and honestly, taking your time with the decision even if it feels slow. The language barrier thing is real, but I've noticed places that are used to international clients tend to have systems in place, so don't stress too much about that part!
