Hi everyone, I'm Hong, from China. I'm currently considering getting a minor skin treatment in Korea, but to be honest, I'm a little worried about language barriers and information asymmetry. I'd like to ask if anyone here has experience as a foreigner visiting clinics in Korea? How did you find reliable places?
My biggest concern is communication, because medical terminology is really complex. Did anyone hire a translator themselves? Or do clinics offer Chinese consultations? I feel this is very important, because it's crucial to ensure the doctor truly understands your needs and physical condition. Are there any tips on how to assess a clinic's service attitude towards international patients when screening clinics?
Also, what questions should I ask during the initial consultation? I know different clinics will have different requirements, but is there a universal checklist for tests? Thank you for sharing your experiences!

Hi Hong Jie! I'm also from China, so I totally understand your concerns. I was wondering if you've considered having a friend who speaks Chinese and has medical knowledge accompany you during your consultation? That's what I did when I went before, and I felt the communication was much smoother, and the doctor was able to understand my needs more accurately.
