Hi everyone, I'm Sinta from Indonesia. So I want to try aesthetic treatments while on vacation in Korea, but I'm a bit confused about how to read reliable reviews. Most reviews are in Korean, and even if some are translated, I'm afraid of bias or even fake reviews. Does anyone have any tips on how to filter out genuine reviews?
Also, I'm curious about any red flags I should look out for? For example, how important is it to hear from someone who's been there versus reading online reviews? I'm also a bit nervous about communication—do most clinics have English-speaking staff or translators? Or should I just book a local guide who can help?
I'm not sure what my priority should be: asking friends who have been there, or starting my own research based on reviews? I'd really appreciate it if anyone could share their experience or provide insight on this! 🙏

I understand your concerns 😅 My tip is to try finding English-language online communities for foreigners and ask specific questions to people who have actually been there, as they tend to have more accurate answers. And when you get to the hospital, try using an older version of Google Translate and speak slowly. Most people there are very kind!
I totally understand how you feel! I felt the same way when I first came to Korea, and seeing so many Korean reviews was really frustrating 😅 My advice is to find a hospital that offers English or Chinese consultations first, as communication will be much easier. Some hospitals do have translators or international patient services. Also, I think your friends' personal experiences are the most reliable, much more credible than online reviews!
