Hi, I'm Uyên from Vietnam, and I'm currently considering getting double eyelid surgery in Seoul. I've done quite a bit of research and it seems prices here are cheaper, and the overall feedback about quality is pretty good, but I'm still uncertain whether it's worth making the trip. The cost of flights, hotels, recovery time... it all seems like a pretty substantial investment.
What worries me most is that if there are any complications after surgery, it'll be harder to follow up with the doctor when I'm far away. I'm also not sure whether I should go alone or find a friend to go with me. Has anyone in this community had experience traveling to Seoul for cosmetic procedures? Do you think it was worth it? And what should I prepare to make the trip safer?
Any experience or advice would be really helpful for me. Thank you! 💕

I totally understand your concerns! I've been thinking about similar things myself, so your questions are really helpful. I think it would feel more reassuring to bring a trusted friend along, and having someone with me during the recovery period would be so much more comfortable. Plus, if anything comes up, we can look out for each other. 💕
Hey Wen! I'm actually thinking about doing something similar from the US, so I totally get your concerns about the distance and follow-up care. Have you looked into clinics that offer like virtual consultations or chat support after you go back home? I'm wondering the same thing about whether it's worth the travel costs, but everyone I've talked to says the quality is really good, so maybe it balances out? Definitely bring a friend if you can though — makes recovery way less lonely! 💕
I've been thinking about the same thing, Wen! 😄 Yeah, the total cost including flights and accommodation is pretty steep, but I get why people from our region are interested, given the reputation and pricing. About follow-up care, maybe you could look for clinics that support online communication or ask for contact numbers for remote consultations? And I think bringing a friend is a great idea for safety and moral support during recovery—plus you'll have someone to help out if you need anything. I'm curious about other people's experiences too!
