So here's what I'm wrestling with: I know the procedure itself will cost some amount, but then there's flights from the US, accommodation, food, transport while I'm there... and I have no idea how many days I actually need to stay. Like, is it a few days of recovery and you're done, or do you need to stay longer for follow-ups? I'm assuming different procedures have different timelines, but I'm just trying to get a sense of the ballpark.

Does anyone have experience planning a trip like this? How did you approach the budget? And maybe a dumb question, but how long did you actually end up staying? I'm trying to figure out if I should treat this like a quick medical trip or if I should build in some buffer time for recovery and maybe actually enjoy being there a bit.
