Hi everyone! I've been thinking about going to Korea for a few weeks now to get a procedure done, and honestly I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed about the financial side of it all. I've never done anything like this before and I'm trying to figure out how to budget realistically.
So here's what I'm wrestling with: I know the procedure itself will cost some amount, but then there's flights from the US, accommodation, food, transport while I'm there... and I have no idea how many days I actually need to stay. Like, is it a few days of recovery and you're done, or do you need to stay longer for follow-ups? I'm assuming different procedures have different timelines, but I'm just trying to get a sense of the ballpark.
Does anyone have experience planning a trip like this? How did you approach the budget? And maybe a dumb question, but how long did you actually end up staying? I'm trying to figure out if I should treat this like a quick medical trip or if I should build in some buffer time for recovery and maybe actually enjoy being there a bit. Any tips on how to organize my thinking around this would be really helpful!
