Hi everyone, I'm Hui. I've been considering getting a cosmetic procedure in Korea recently, but to be honest, I'm a bit nervous about the cost and time. I've never had cosmetic procedures done abroad before, so I'm not sure how much I'll have to spend on airfare and accommodation besides the treatment itself. Could any of you ladies share your experiences on how much time you usually need to allow? Can I go home immediately after the procedure, or do I need to stay there for a few days to recover?
My biggest concern right now is budgeting. I know the prices can vary significantly between different treatments, but I have absolutely no idea. I'm also worried about what to do if there are any unexpected issues, like needing a follow-up appointment or problems during recovery, especially since it's an unfamiliar place. Has anyone experienced this?
Also, I'd like to ask what the typical appointment process is like? How far in advance do I need to contact them? Will language be a big barrier? My English is okay, but I don't speak any Korean… If any of you ladies could share your experiences or advice, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you!

Hey Hui! I totally get the budget anxiety—I'm in the same boat honestly. Quick question though: when you say you're worried about recovery time, are you thinking about taking time off work after, or more concerned about visible stuff like swelling that might show when you fly back?
I was just as worried as you were at first, but my experience is that it's best to contact them early (about 2-3 weeks in advance) so they have time to make arrangements and find a translator if needed — most places I looked into had English-speaking staff or could help in other ways! 😊
