Hi, I'm Kana. I'm thinking about getting a beauty procedure done in Korea soon, but honestly, I'm not sure how to find a clinic I can trust... 😅
How do you all actually go about finding clinics? There are so many options out there—online reviews, SNS, you name it—but it's hard to know what's real and what isn't. And when it comes to consultations, how do you handle the language barrier? Is it better to go with a clinic that has an interpreter, or is English support enough?... I'd really like to hear from people with experience.
Also, I'm wondering what I should check before getting a procedure done, or what points I should make sure to confirm during the initial consultation. If you don't mind, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Has anyone else felt anxious about something like this?

I totally get it, Kana! I had the same worries at first 😅 I actually checked multiple sources like Instagram and forums, and looked at comments from international users before making my decision. As for the language barrier, I think it's reassuring to choose a clinic that has an interpreter available for your initial consultation. I was also worried about understanding medical explanations in English alone, so that really helped me.
I completely understand your concerns! When I went to Seoul last time, I found that asking other foreign travelers directly or inquiring in local community groups was really helpful, since they can share actual experiences rather than just promotional content. As for the language issue, I'd suggest confirming via email or messaging first whether they offer translation services, and then for your first consultation, bringing a translation app or having a friend accompany you is also a great idea—that way you'll feel more at ease.
