Hi everyone, I'm Tzuyu from Taiwan. I've been considering a treatment in Korea lately, but to be honest, I'm a little nervous because of the costs of airfare, accommodation, and the treatment itself. I feel like I need to plan carefully to avoid overspending. I've read some articles, and the prices for treatments seem to vary quite a bit, but I'm still not entirely clear on the exact amounts.
I'd like to ask about everyone's experience—how many days do you usually allocate for your trip in Korea? How many days does the treatment itself take, and how long is the recovery period? I'm thinking of taking a week off, but I'm worried about wasting travel time. I'm better at calculating airfare and accommodation, but the total cost of the whole trip is still quite daunting. Can anyone share how they plan their trips, or do they have any money-saving tips?
Also, I'm worried about the language barrier, and what to do if there are any complications after the treatment. These are making me hesitant to actually go. Has anyone else had these concerns when planning their trip? I'd love to hear everyone's advice and experiences!

I'm also from outside Korea and I have the same concerns about planning and budgeting! I think a week off is a good idea because you have time to rest after the procedure, but it's best to contact the clinic directly to clarify the actual recovery period depending on the type of treatment. Regarding concerns about complications and the language barrier, you can try to find someone to help you with translation or request an interpreter from the clinic itself; this will give you much peace of mind.
I'm also from Southeast Asia, so I understand your concerns! I think the best approach is to contact the facilities directly beforehand to inquire about recovery time and post-treatment requirements, and then plan your schedule accordingly, rather than the other way around. Oh, and I suggest preparing a list of important medical questions in English or printing out translations for easier communication!
Tswei, I have the same worries! 😅 I think a week should be enough, but I took 10 days including travel time. Language is a real concern, isn't it? But many clinics offer services in English and Chinese, so it might be a good idea to check beforehand. I was scared at first too, but it was easier than I thought when I actually went. Good luck, Tswei!
Oh dear, I understand your concerns! From my own experience, what helps a lot is booking accommodation near a BTS or Metro station for easy movement. Also, try searching for guesthouses in different areas; they're much cheaper than hotels. And be prepared with basic English phrases or use Google Translate. Finally, contact the place you plan to visit beforehand to inquire about post-procedure support and evacuation arrangements for peace of mind.
Hi Tsai! I'm also from Taiwan and had a similar experience last year. Have you consulted with any places yet? I started by communicating online, which helped me better manage my time and budget.
Tswei, I completely understand how you feel! I had the same anxieties when I came from Japan. A one-week schedule should be plenty of time, even with travel days included. As for language, using a translation app or writing down what you want to discuss beforehand will help a lot 😊 The recovery period really seems to vary depending on the type of treatment, so it's best to confirm this thoroughly during your consultation.
