Hey everyone! I'm Hiền, and I just had a light cosmetic procedure done in Seoul yesterday. My face is a bit swollen right now with some mild redness. The doctor gave me a quick rundown on aftercare, but I'd love to hear from people who've been through this to see if you have any tips. I'm currently wondering whether I should use cold masks or try something else to reduce the swelling.
I'm planning to stay in Seoul for a bit longer, so I have time to take good care of my skin. Does anyone know what I should avoid during the recovery process? I'm a little worried that if I don't take care of it properly, the swelling could last longer. I'm also not sure if I should be drinking a lot of water or if there's anything else I should keep in mind.
Anyone here have similar experience? I'm open to hearing all kinds of advice from you all, whether it's from professionals or just personal experience. Thanks so much everyone! 💙

It's so many things! Can I ask how swollen you are right now? My face was completely puffy like that before too. My doctor told me to avoid hot foods and alcoholic drinks in the early stages. Is that possible for you? 🙏
Hey Hin! I totally get the worry — I had some puffiness after a light treatment on my last trip to Seoul too. Honestly, just following what my practitioner told me and keeping things simple (lots of water, staying cool, avoiding hot showers) made such a difference over the next few days. You'll probably feel way better by the end of the week since you're staying in Seoul — just be patient with yourself! 💙
Oh, I totally get it! I just did some light treatments myself and ended up with a puffy, swollen face 😅 It sounds like your doctor will give you the best advice, but personally my friend told me that staying home and applying cold compresses frequently, plus trying to sleep with your head elevated, helped a lot. I'm also wondering the same thing about what I need to avoid—I'd love to know the answer too! 💙
Hi Hin, thanks for sharing! I completely understand how you feel — I've had similar experiences myself. Post-treatment swelling and redness can definitely be worrying. In my case, I used a cooling pack, and it seemed pretty effective for the first few days. That said, I think following your doctor's instructions is the most important thing, so if you have any concerns, it might be worth reaching out to them without hesitation. If you're going to be in Seoul for a few more days, I'd say the best approach is to take your time and let recovery happen naturally without rushing it. You've got this! 💙
Hey! I had a similar minor procedure done in Seoul recently too, and I also experienced some swelling and redness afterward. I wanted to ask you—did your doctor recommend any specific skincare products or aftercare methods? I was a bit uncertain about what products to use at the time, worried that using the wrong ones might affect my recovery.
