Hi everyone! I'm Hsinyi from Taiwan. I'm thinking of trying some beauty treatments in Korea, but honestly, I'm really unsure how to find a reliable clinic. My Korean isn't very good, and I'm worried about communication problems. I'm also unsure what criteria I should use to determine if a clinic is trustworthy.
I'd like to ask everyone, how do you usually find clinics? Are there any reliable resources or channels? Also, many people say to check if the clinic has a translator or foreign language staff, but is that really important? What should I pay special attention to during the initial consultation? I'm actually quite nervous; I feel like I really need to prepare well for my first visit.
If anyone has similar experience, especially regarding language, I'd really like to hear how you handled it. Thank you!

Tan, have you tried searching on forums or Facebook groups for foreigners living in Korea? I heard they share quite thorough experiences, and there are even Vietnamese speakers there 😊
You're from Greater Taiwan! I'm from Japan too, so I totally understand your language concerns 😅 Have you already consulted with a few clinics, Shin-san? At first, I was using a translation app to consult with them, but there were some things that were different from what I expected when I actually went there, so I realized that pre-consultation is really important.
I'm also from abroad, so I understand your concerns! My little tip is to ask if they have staff who speak English or other languages before making an appointment, as this really helps you feel more comfortable during the consultation.
