Hi, I'm Natsuki. I've been thinking about double eyelid surgery for a while, and recently I've started considering going to Seoul. I know I could get it done in Japan, but I've heard that Korea has more experience and it's cheaper... However, when you go from overseas, you have extra costs like flights and accommodation, right? I'm honestly wondering if it's worth it.
In reality, has anyone gone to Korea for surgery from abroad? I'd love to hear about what was good and what was difficult. Also, regarding post-operative aftercare, should I do it in Korea or after returning to Japan? I'm worried about the language barrier and what might happen if any issues arise.
Also, how do you actually choose a clinic? I've looked at review sites, but there are too many and I can't figure it out. I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me the basics, like whether consultations can be done online or if there are interpreter services. If anyone has experience, I'd be happy to hear about it!

To Natsukin: I have the same concern! If you have a procedure done in Korea, what do you do if a problem arises after you return to Japan for aftercare? I'm most worried about whether many clinics offer online consultations or if you ultimately have to return to Korea. If you have any experience, please share!
Natsuiki, I totally get it! I was also struggling with similar concerns. The costs for flights and hotels are quite significant, aren't they... But when I actually consulted with them, having proper language support made me feel much more at ease than I expected. For aftercare, I made sure to confirm beforehand if I could receive follow-up treatment at a local clinic after returning to Japan. I think it's best to address those kinds of anxieties during the consultation phase 😊
