Hey everyone! So I'm seriously considering coming to Korea for a treatment, but I'm honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed trying to figure out the total cost. Like, I know what the actual procedure might run, but then there's flights from the US, accommodation, food for however many days I need to stay... it's a lot to calculate at once.
Has anyone done this before and could walk me through how you budgeted it all? I'm trying to figure out how many days I actually need to be there—is it just the procedure day plus a recovery day, or should I plan for a longer stay to be safe? And do most people stay near the area where they're getting treatment, or does it matter?
I'm also really unsure about the exchange rate fluctuations and whether I should book flights and hotels way in advance or wait. I don't want to be penny-pinching on something medical, but I also want to be realistic about what I can actually afford. Any tips on how you approached the planning without stressing yourself out too much?

I was in the same boat as you, and honestly, the planning was a bit complicated 😅. My advice is to book a hotel close to your destination so you don't waste time commuting after the procedure. The number of days you'll need depends on the type of procedure, so allow at least one or two days for rest. As for bookings, book your flight and hotel at the same time because prices fluctuate a lot. The important thing is to have a clear budget and don't forget about food and small transportation costs!
I also thought of the same plan! My question to you is, have you already chosen any area in Seoul to stay in, or are you still at the beginning? Because I see that housing prices vary a lot depending on the location and time.
I understand, I'm struggling with the same thing! It's really hard to calculate the airfare, accommodation, and treatment costs all at once, isn't it? I'm also planning a stay of a few days, but I think it would be better to stay in Korea for about 4-5 days to have some breathing room. Let's both do our best to plan! 😊
