Hi everyone! I'm Ayu from Indonesia, and I'm planning an aesthetic treatment while on vacation in Korea. But honestly, I'm a bit confused about how to find a trustworthy clinic because I can't read Korean at all. There are tons of reviews on their local platforms, but I can only see photos and ratings.
What I want to ask is: what should I look for or avoid when choosing a clinic? Are there any specific red flags I can look for even if I can't read reviews? Like, what are some common warning signs or suspicions?
Also, if anyone has had this experience and managed to find a good clinic, how did they do it? Is it safer to just consult first, or what should I do? It's scary to be careless, especially when it comes to medical treatments like this.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

I'm in the same situation, Ayu! Not being able to read 한국어 is a real challenge. I'm thinking of going with an interpreter for my first consultation, or at least finding a place where English is spoken.
I've been to Korea before and had the same problem, lol. A helpful tip is to ask staff who don't speak much English to try using Google Translate, and take some really good photos of the room and amenities. If it's well-maintained and clean, it should look something like this. Also, try to find feedback from foreigners on Instagram or international websites to help you stay calm!
I also went for a consultation without understanding Korean 😅 Actually, you can bring a translation app or ask a friend for help. I found that doctors and nurses are more attentive and helpful during in-person consultations, which is more reassuring than reading reviews. I suggest asking them first if they have Chinese or English-speaking staff; many clinics do!
