Hey everyone! I'm planning to get a small procedure done while I'm in Korea next month, but I'm flying back to the US like 4-5 days after. I know swelling is pretty normal with these things, so I'm trying to figure out what I should bring with me or what I should pack in my checked luggage for the flight.
Has anyone traveled right after getting something done? I'm mostly worried about the plane ride and whether regular stuff like ice packs or compression would actually help, or if I'm just overthinking it lol. Also, are there any common aftercare products that are travel-friendly and easy to use on a plane or at home? I'm guessing I shouldn't bring anything too heavy or complicated.
Any tips on what actually made a difference for you guys? Or should I just plan to buy stuff at home after I land? I'm definitely planning to ask the place I go to for their recommendations too, but figured I'd ask here first since so many of you have done this. Thanks in advance!

I flew back home after completing the procedures, and honestly, the compact cold pillow/gel pad from Korea was super convenient to bring on the plane and use at home too! You can ask at the check-in counter if they have any product recommendations that are easy to buy at the airport or convenience stores; they usually know what travelers need most.
I understand, traveling by plane can be worrying 😅 I have a question: do you plan to get all your aftercare products locally in Korea before you depart? Or will you buy them online after returning to Japan? I'm considering a similar situation, so I'd love to know which option was actually easier!
The last time I went to Korea, I also had a small procedure done and flew back right away. My advice is to bring a comfortable neck pillow and loose-fitting masks. They can help cover your face on the plane and also remind you not to touch it, haha. I bought some simple hydrating sheet masks at a convenience store; they're light and easy to use, much more convenient than bringing heavier items from home!
I also flew 3 days after my treatment, so I totally get how you feel haha. My tip is to bring thin, lightweight sheet masks (they help with hydration and can cover any lingering swelling), and don't forget to drink plenty of water on the plane as it significantly reduces swelling.
