Hi everyone, I'm Nan. I'm considering getting a small procedure done in Seoul recently, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier. My English is okay, but I might not understand medical terms well. I wanted to ask experienced sisters out there, is English communication sufficient during consultations at aesthetic clinics in Seoul? Or is it better to know some Korean yourself or use a translation app?
I've seen many clinics that seem to offer English consultation services, but I'm not sure about the quality. Will language issues lead to the doctor misunderstanding my intentions, or me not understanding important precautions? Has anyone experienced this? Should I prepare some common vocabulary in advance or write down my needs?
Also, I'd love to hear everyone's advice: is an English consultation more convenient, or would it be more reassuring to bring a Korean-speaking friend along? Please share your experiences!
