Hello! Has anyone here had cosmetic procedures done in Korea? I'm thinking of trying it out soon, but I'm really worried about finding a trustworthy clinic. I don't know how to tell if it's legitimate.
I'd like to ask where you all usually find your clinics? Do you look at Thai reviews from people who have actually been? Or do friends recommend them? And another important thing, what do you think you should look for during the initial consultation? For example, do you recommend finding a place that speaks Thai? Is that important? Because my English is okay, but I'd like to have a translator. I don't want to misunderstand anything.
Can anyone help me out with what kind of clinics are usually good, and what should I ask before signing anything? Thanks in advance!

I totally get the worry! I'm in the same boat as you — honestly, I've been asking around to friends who've done treatments here and reading through forum posts to get a sense of who's legit. I think having someone who speaks your language during consultations makes such a difference, not just for understanding the procedure but honestly for peace of mind. Have you tried reaching out to places that specifically mention English-speaking staff? That might save you some stress right from the start!
I totally relate! I was also super nervous the first time I looked for a place in Korea because there are so many options, but it's hard to know which ones are actually good. My advice is to try looking at reviews from trusted international forums or communities. Also, it's definitely better if the place can speak English or has a translator, because consultation is really important and we need to understand every detail explained. Good luck with your search! 🙌
Regarding trying things out, look for reviews from foreigners who have been there. My friend chose to check online videos and reviews first. And I'd like to ask, where do you primarily gather your information from? Facebook groups or YouTube reviews more so?
I understand, I have similar anxieties too 😅 Since my Korean isn't perfect, it's really reassuring to have an interpreter. I'm looking based on recommendations from friends and blogs from people who have actually gone, but I really think it's important whether they explain things thoroughly during the initial consultation. Let's work hard together!
