Hey everyone! I'm Maya from Jakarta, and I've been thinking lately about going to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. I've been curious about the double eyelid procedure for a while now, but I'm a bit hesitant about the results here. So my main question is... is it really worth it to fly all that way? Has anyone here actually traveled to Korea specifically for a treatment like this? What's the process like from start to follow-up?
What appeals to me is the reputation of the clinics in Seoul and the experiences of people who've already done it. But on the other hand, I'm concerned about practical things like flights, accommodation, how long I'd need to stay, and what happens if there are any issues after I get back to Indonesia. Plus I'm still not sure what budget I should set aside, and it seems like every place has different pricing.
Maybe someone could share their experience? Especially about how to choose the right clinic, how long the recovery period is, and whether follow-up appointments can be done remotely via video call? I'd also like to know how to communicate with the staff if there's a language barrier. Thanks so much in advance for anyone willing to share information!

I've also been to Seoul for procedures, and what I learned is that you should contact the clinic via email beforehand to ask about translation services or English-speaking staff — many places offer this support for international clients! As for aftercare from a distance, I can do video call check-ins with them, but it's best to stay in Seoul for a few days so they can monitor you in person, and then you can do tele-consultations later if needed.
Maya! I'm actually considering this too! Have you looked into contacting clinics in Seoul via email or chat before going? I'm worried about the communication side of things and being able to explain clearly what I want when I don't speak Korean.
