Hi everyone, I'm Diep from Vietnam. I just had a minor procedure here and now I have some swelling and bruising. This is my first time doing this, so I'm a little worried about aftercare. Has anyone in the group experienced something similar? I'd like to know what you usually do to reduce swelling and keep your skin healthy during the recovery process?
I've heard that you should avoid certain activities and keep your face clean, but I'm not entirely sure of the details. Can you share any daily routines that you find helpful? For example, times when you avoid makeup, or natural ways to care for your skin? I'd also like to know how you feel in the first few days – is it normal to feel a little anxious?
I'll follow medical advice, but I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you everyone!

Hi Dip! I was super nervous when I had my first procedure too. Swelling and bruising can be quite anxiety-inducing, but these are all normal reactions. My experience was that for the first few days, I followed the doctor's advice, keeping my face clean but simplifying my skincare routine as much as possible. I even stopped using serums and masks, just using a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Applying ice was really helpful; I would gently apply an ice towel for about 10 minutes, and I could feel the swelling gradually subside, which also made me feel more comfortable! Keep going, you'll see improvement in a few days! 💪
Hi Deep! Thanks for your hard work! I'm also considering a similar procedure, so this post is really helpful. Swelling and bruising are definitely a concern. It seems like you should listen carefully to the clinic's advice and then just let time heal things. I'd love to hear more from people who have gone through this!
I'm from the UAE, and when I recently visited Korea, I experienced the same thing. The swelling and bruising are perfectly normal in the first few days 😊 I simply left my face without makeup for a week, focused on drinking plenty of water, and tried to get good sleep. The doctor told me to avoid exercise and heat during the initial period. Just be patient and you'll feel the difference!
I understand your worries; I felt the same way the first time! I found the simplest way is to keep your face clean, avoid heavy makeup for the first few days, and gently rinse with cold water – this helps reduce swelling quite a bit. I hope you recover quickly!
Hi Diep! I also experienced swelling and bruising after my first treatment, so it's totally normal to be nervous, hehe. In my experience, the most helpful thing is to just diligently use sunscreen and avoid makeup for a few days—letting your skin breathe and recover faster. Don't stress too much, it's usually much better within a week!
Hey Diep! I'm also thinking about trying a similar procedure, so your post was really helpful! From what I've read, swelling and bruising are totally normal in the beginning, so don't worry—I think your slightly nervous experience is totally relatable and normal. I hope you recover quickly, and thanks for sharing your story—it gives me confidence in my decision! 🙏
