Hey everyone! So I'm seriously considering traveling to Seoul for a double eyelid procedure, and I'm trying to figure out if it makes sense for me to do it abroad versus staying in the US. I know Korea has a huge reputation for this kind of work, and the aesthetic results seem to be really refined, but I'm honestly weighing whether the cost of flights, accommodation, and recovery time actually makes it worth it in the end.
I guess what I'm wondering is — has anyone here actually done this as a foreigner? Like, was the quality difference noticeable enough to justify the whole trip? I'm also nervous about the recovery process being far from home and my regular doctor. Plus, I'm not even sure how much I'd actually save money-wise when you factor in travel expenses.
I'd love to hear from people who've gone through with it, especially anyone from North America. What made you decide yes or no? And how did you handle things like follow-up appointments if something came up after you got back home? Any advice on how to think through this decision would be really helpful!

I'm also considering this, so I really empathize with you! 🤔 I think the issue of distance and post-operative care is very valid, especially when it's far away, but I'm also curious about the differences in techniques and prices between these two places, so I'm waiting to see if anyone will share their real-life experience!
I completely understand your concerns! I'd like to ask if you consulted a doctor in the US first to see what their treatment plans and pricing are like? This might make it easier to compare the differences between the two options.
