Hey everyone! So I've been seriously considering getting a double eyelid procedure done in Seoul, and I'm trying to figure out if it actually makes sense to fly all the way from the US for it. Like, I've heard Korea has amazing results and really skilled surgeons, but I'm also wondering about the logistics of traveling abroad for surgery, recovery time, and whether I'd actually save money when you factor in flights and hotels.
I guess my main concern is: how much am I basing this on actual hype versus real experience? Has anyone here traveled from the States specifically for this? I'm trying to be realistic about what recovery looks like and whether I'd need to stay longer than I expected. Also, how do you even vet doctors when you can't just ask friends for recommendations or read reviews easily?
I'm not in a rush, so I'm taking my time to think it through. But if anyone's been through this journey, I'd love to hear what actually helped you decide—like, what made you commit to the trip versus just finding someone local?

I understand your concerns. I'm thinking the same thing, the cost of flights and hotels, plus the uncertainty of how long the break will be. It really makes me reconsider. I'd love to hear about the experiences of those who have already gone.
