Hello ladies, I'm from the UAE and I'm seriously considering going to Seoul for Asian eyelid surgery. I've heard that Koreans specialize in this procedure, but I'm a bit hesitant because of the overall cost and hassle. I mean, it's not just the surgery itself; I also have to add airfare, hotel, and aftercare.
Honestly, I'm hesitant because I don't know if it's really worth going so far away or if I can get the results I want here. I also don't know how long I'll have to stay in Seoul for follow-up and recovery, or if I can return to work normally after a short period. Has anyone from the Gulf region had a similar experience? How did you make your decision?

I'm also considering this, and I understand your concerns because the cost and time involved are really significant. I've seen some friends who came from abroad who said they stayed for about 1-2 weeks for monitoring and to make sure everything was okay before flying back, but it probably depends on the individual case. You could look into whether there are any places that support international patients; I think some places offer such services to ease the pressure.
I'm also from the UAE and I'm thinking the same thing! It's really confusing because of the costs and distance, but hearing so many people talk about the doctors' experience there makes me think it might be worth the trip. I wish someone here had tried it and could share their experience with us 🤔
I'm also from the UAE and I went to Seoul for my surgery last year! Honestly, the total cost was a bit high, but the quality of service and attention to detail were definitely worth it. Regarding my stay, I stayed a full week because the swelling and bruising were quite noticeable in the first few days, so when you go, factor that into your budget. My advice: take time off work and don't expect to be back so quickly 💕
