Hi everyone, I'm Yuhan. I'm considering getting a minor cosmetic procedure in Korea, but I need to fly back immediately afterward. I'd like to ask experienced ladies for advice on post-operative swelling care, especially during the flight and the first few days after arriving home.
I've heard that swelling is common after surgery, and I'd like to know if there are any care tips to help relieve it? Like cold compresses or elevating the skin? Also, what products do you usually bring back for post-operative care? Do I need to prepare any special masks or repair products? I'm worried that these might not be available in China.
Furthermore, will flying affect recovery? What preparations should I make beforehand? If any of you have experienced this, I would be so grateful for your advice!

Before my last trip abroad, I had a skincare treatment and was about to catch a flight. The doctor advised me to bring small ice packs to use on the plane, drink plenty of water, and try to elevate my head while sleeping. These really helped! After returning home, I relied on simple face masks and moisturizing products. Actually, you can buy similar skincare products in Taiwan, so you don't need to bring too much stuff from Korea.
Oh hey, I totally get the stress of flying right after a procedure! I'd honestly just ask your clinic what they recommend for the flight specifically—they'll give you the best guidance on timing and what to bring. Good idea stocking up on gentle skincare before you leave since you're heading back to China, just in case you can't find your usual stuff right away!
Reading your story makes me so envious! I was thinking of doing the same thing. Thank you for asking for so many details; it helped me prepare better.
Yuhan, I understand! I also had a treatment in Korea and returned home immediately, and cooling my face with a cold towel before getting on the plane was a real lifesaver. Also, I wore a mask the whole time on the plane and tried not to move my face as much as possible. After returning home, I felt like my usual toner and sheet mask were enough 😊
