Hi, I'm Thanh, from Vietnam. I'm planning a trip to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. I've done some research and many people say the surgery in Korea is excellent, but I'm not sure if it's worth traveling that far. I haven't fully calculated the costs of flights, accommodation, and recovery time.
My question is: has anyone here experienced medical tourism like this? What should I consider? I could have the surgery done in Vietnam, but I've heard the techniques in Seoul are slightly different. However, I'm also worried I might just be caught up in the hype. And what if something goes wrong afterward and I'm so far away?
I'd appreciate any advice or shared experiences. I'm not looking for clinic recommendations, just genuine insights from real people!

I used to feel the same anxiety as Thanh! The hardest part is balancing travel and recovery costs against quality, but I think it's important to thoroughly research the consultation and post-surgery support process before deciding, rather than just believing advertisements. I hope someone else will share their real-life experiences so both Thanh and I can get a clearer picture!
I've read your story, Thanh. You have many questions, but I understand your concerns 😅 I'm wondering how long you've set aside for your recovery period? Because it seems like that could be a crucial factor in deciding if traveling far from home like this is worth it.
