Hi everyone, I'm Lina from Jakarta. So, I've been wanting to get double eyelid surgery for a while, but I've always been hesitant. Lately, many friends have been saying, "I'd rather go to Seoul; the results are great and the prices are more reasonable." But I'm still thinking about whether it's worth traveling all that way. Besides the cost of flights and accommodation, there's also recovery time to consider, right?
What's confusing me is, how can I know which clinic is good if I don't know anyone who's had surgery there? I'm afraid of making the wrong choice. Plus, communication is also a concern—even if there's a translator, it's still different to have a face-to-face consultation in your own language. Has anyone gone through this process? What was your experience like being so far from home?
Also, I wanted to ask, how long should I plan to stay in Seoul to safely have follow-ups? Can I go home all the time, or is it better to stay until the swelling goes down? I'm not entirely sure about the recovery timeline. Thank you if anyone would like to share their experience or tips!

I completely understand your concerns! I'm also from overseas, and at first I was hesitant about flying there specifically, worried about communication problems and who would take care of me during recovery. I suggest you look for other women with similar experiences on forums and hear their honest thoughts; that will give you more peace of mind. As for how long the recovery period takes, I think it varies from person to person. It's best to ask your doctor directly during your consultation.
Hello Lina! Of course, I am also from abroad, so I understand your concerns. At least how many days did your friends stay in Seoul after the eye surgery? Because I also have a feeling that I can't afford the travel expenses.
