Hi, I'm Yen, and I'm currently considering a trip to Korea for some aesthetic adjustments I've wanted to try for a while. The problem is, I have no idea how much money to budget for the entire trip. I've never traveled abroad alone for this kind of procedure, so I'm a bit nervous.
What about you all? When you plan your trips, what do you usually factor in? I know the procedure costs can be quite significant, but I also need money for flights, accommodation, food, and how long do I need to stay there for the incisions to heal and for me to be able to fly back safely? I don't want to rush and affect my recovery process.
Does anyone have experience planning this type of trip? How far in advance should I prepare, and how much buffer should I leave for unexpected changes? I feel a bit overwhelmed but also very excited. I'm looking forward to hearing from those who have been through it.

Hi Yen, I totally understand your anxiety! I've been through it once myself, and what I learned is to plan for a longer recovery than initially expected, because healing takes more time than I first imagined. Besides the cost of the treatment itself, you should also factor in accommodation, local transportation, and a contingency fund for potential extra days of stay — you should mentally prepare for this!
I understand that feeling! I was just as anxious when I got my first procedure in Korea. It's a good idea to budget a little extra, not just for the procedure itself, but also considering your stay, recovery time, and any unexpected expenses. I'm glad I gave myself some wiggle room.
Hi Yen, I felt the same way at first! I think the most important thing is to allow a few extra weeks for recovery instead of rushing, and to set aside a contingency fund of about 20-30% to avoid stress if anything unexpected comes up. Good luck with your plans!
