First time going abroad for medical aesthetics, how should I plan my budget and itinerary?

Hi everyone, I'm Nan. I've been thinking about going abroad for a cosmetic procedure, but I have no idea how to plan it. Besides the cost of the surgery itself, I also need to factor in flights, accommodation, and food, which feels like it will add up to a lot. Can anyone help me break it down and estimate how many days I'll need to stay there? Can I go home directly during recovery, or do I need to stay a few extra days?

My biggest concern right now is the budget. The price difference between doing the same procedure domestically and abroad seems significant, but I'm not sure exactly where that difference comes from. Has anyone planned a trip like this before? How did you estimate all your expenses? I'm worried I'll miss something and then realize I don't have enough money.

Also, I'd like to ask, how far in advance do I need to book? Are the waiting lists very long? If I need to take time off work, how much time should I request? I've heard that you can't take long flights during recovery, but how long exactly until it's safe to fly? Can experienced ladies share your entire itinerary?
