Hello everyone! I'm Indah from Indonesia, and I'm seriously considering getting aesthetic treatments during my trip to Korea next year. But honestly, I'm a bit nervous about how to choose a truly good and trustworthy clinic, especially since I don't speak any Korean at all.
I'm curious, has anyone here had experience? How do you usually find a good clinic? Do you rely on online reviews, or go through local communities like this one? What also worries me a bit is if a consultation involves an interpreter – how trustworthy are they? Do they really explain everything in detail, or can something get lost in translation?
Also, can anyone give tips on what to check before visiting? Like documentation, licenses, or having a direct interview with the doctor? I want a detailed and transparent consultation because it's about my own face 😅 I'd really appreciate it if anyone with experience could share!

Reading this question made things so much clearer! I also came from abroad and had the same impression. Asking on this forum to find a good clinic and a good doctor seemed like a really great idea, and the students here were very helpful. If you're planning to go with an interpreter, it seems important to choose them carefully beforehand! 화이팅!
Hi Inda! I totally relate to your worries about language and communication issues 😅 I also used to overthink this before coming to Korea. In my opinion, look for a place that has staff who can speak Indonesian or at least clear English—don't be shy to ask directly at the beginning of your consultation if they can facilitate communication well. From my experience, it's better to ask for details upfront than to have miscommunication later, and you have the right to feel comfortable with the process!
