Hello everyone! I'm Mai, from Vietnam, and I'm preparing to undergo some cosmetic procedures in Seoul next month. I've tried searching for reviews on English-language sites, but the information is quite limited compared to Korean. I can't read Korean, so I feel a bit lost when I want to find detailed information from people who have actually experienced procedures at clinics here.
I'd like to ask everyone, when reading reviews or searching for information, what should I pay attention to? For example, is there a way to distinguish genuine customer reviews from promotional ones? I'm worried because there's so much information online, and I don't know how to filter out trustworthy opinions. Could you share your experiences? I'd be very grateful!

Hi Myra! I had the same problem before, and I found that looking at multiple photos was more helpful than just reading text reviews. I also try to find posts with timestamps, as this makes it easier to see if they're real cases. Additionally, asking local friends or Taiwanese people who have been there can be quite helpful; they can usually explain some details in Chinese ❤️ Keep it up!
Hey Myra, I totally feel you on this — I'm from the US and had the same problem when I was planning my trip! Honestly, I found it helpful to look for reviews on international forums and ask in expat Facebook groups for Seoul, since people there are usually more willing to write in English and share their actual experiences. Also, before booking anything, I always tried to message clinics directly with questions to see how helpful and transparent they are — that gave me a better sense of whether I could trust them.
Maira, I totally get it! I had the same concerns. By the way, do you think the people sharing information in English have actually undergone the procedures themselves? Or have you tried reading Korean reviews using translation tools – is that a viable option?
I'm in the same boat! I also want to get some treatments done in Seoul, but not being able to understand Korean reviews is a real headache. My current approach is to read more English forums and Chinese user shares on Xiaohongshu. While the information isn't as abundant as in Korean, at least I can hear the real voices of international users. Keep going!
