Hello everyone! My name is Dewi, and I'm from Indonesia. I've wanted double eyelids for a long time but I'm still hesitant. Many say Seoul is the best destination for this kind of procedure, but I'm not sure if it's worth traveling so far from scratch. Has anyone here done it before? What were your experiences and considerations?
What I'm thinking about is the total cost for flights, accommodation, and the procedure itself, which will surely be quite substantial. Then there's the aftercare – do I need to stay in Seoul for a few days, or can I go home right away? I'm also a bit worried about communicating with the doctor after surgery if there's anything that needs follow-up.
On the other hand, I've heard many foreign visitors are satisfied with the results and expertise there. But I'm also curious: can I achieve good results in Indonesia as well, or is there a significant difference? Has anyone compared or tried it in both places? Maybe someone can share their perspective on how they decided.
Any advice or honest thoughts? I want to make a good decision without being reckless hehe. TIA!

Hey Dewi! I totally get your concerns—I did a similar trip from the US last year and honestly the biggest thing I wish I'd known was to budget extra time in Seoul after the procedure, like at least a week if you can swing it. The aftercare appointments are pretty important and it's way less stressful if you're not rushing to catch a flight. As for comparing quality between countries, I can't really say one is definitely better than another since everyone's experience is so different, but I will say having easy access to your provider during healing made me feel way more confident. Definitely chat with places about their experience with international patients and how they handle follow-ups—that communication part you mentioned is legit important!
I flew over from China last year too, so I totally get your concerns! My advice is to set aside at least a week. This way, you can stay in Seoul for a few extra days during your recovery period, and if any issues arise, they can be addressed promptly, which will give you more peace of mind. Regarding the cost, you definitely need to factor in flights and accommodation, but I think the key is to compare cases from several clinics to find one whose style matches your ideal. That way, you can ensure it's worth it, rather than just being drawn in by the location, haha.
