Hi everyone, I'm Juan from China. I'm recently considering getting some cosmetic procedures done in Korea, but I can barely understand the Korean reviews online... I can manage with translation software, but I always feel like I might be missing important information. Especially, I don't know which are genuine user reviews and which might be from the clinics themselves.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation? For example, what are some obvious warning signs to avoid when reading reviews? I've noticed that some clinics' reviews seem very uniform, with similar wording; is that suspicious? Also, is it normal for a place to have almost entirely positive reviews and virtually no negative ones?
I'm also a little worried that the language barrier might affect communication and post-operative care. If you have experience, could you share how to confidently find a reliable place? Are there any tips or methods to help those of us who aren't fluent in Korean? Thank you so much!

Fan, I understand! I had the same anxieties at first. Personally, when I read reviews, I try to compare opinions on the same clinic from multiple platforms. I also look to see if there are "before and after" photos in Korean and if there are detailed explanations. Regarding language, I think it's a good idea to ask in advance when you make your consultation appointment whether there are staff who can speak English or if it's okay to use a translation app! Even if it's not perfect, I feel that you can trust a place that responds honestly.
Do you use any good translation apps? I'm having a similar problem reading Korean reviews, but I'm curious if there's a way to distinguish between real and fake reviews?
