Hi everyone, I'm Lu. I'm considering going to Seoul for a consultation, but I'm worried about the language barrier. My English is pretty good, and I'm sure I can speak Chinese, but I barely speak Korean. I'd like to ask if any of you have experience with this: are most clinics in English? Or is it better to bring a translator or use a Chinese translation app beforehand?
I've seen online that some places have Chinese-speaking staff, but I'm not sure if that's the norm. Has anyone encountered a situation where the language barrier was significant? How did you handle it? I don't want to misunderstand the doctor's advice or treatment plan due to communication difficulties.
If any of you could share your experiences, I would be so grateful! I'd especially like to know how the initial consultation went. Thank you everyone!
