Hi everyone! It's Peichun here. I've been wrestling with the decision of whether to fly to Korea for treatments lately. Of course, Taiwan is convenient, and I can rest well at home during recovery. But I've heard many people say that Korea's medical aesthetics technology and experience are truly impressive, and the prices don't seem as expensive as I imagined. The only downside is that flying there requires taking time off work and finding accommodation, which makes the whole process a bit troublesome.
My biggest concern is, if I get treatments done in Korea, what should I do about any follow-up or adjustments needed afterward? I can't just fly back frequently. Plus, I'm not entirely sure how much the final cost will differ, because when you add in flights and accommodation, maybe I won't save much money at all?
I'd like to ask everyone, have any of you faced this dilemma? How did you ultimately decide? Was it based on the type of procedure, the doctor's experience, or purely a consideration of cost-effectiveness (CP value)? Has anyone tried treatments in both Taiwan and Korea and can share their experience? I'm really eager to hear everyone's thoughts!

I also agonized over choosing between the two locations, and ultimately felt that aftercare was really crucial – if any adjustments or follow-up appointments were needed, long distance would be a real hassle. However, I later asked some friends who had procedures done, and they said many doctors are actually very professional, and their post-op care instructions are very detailed. As long as you follow their advice and take good care of yourself, you usually don't need frequent follow-up visits. Perhaps you could schedule a consultation first and ask the doctor about this directly?
I'm also Taiwanese and had the same dilemma before! I ended up choosing to have it done in Taiwan mainly because follow-up care is so much more convenient. I didn't want to worry about the hassle of flying back if any issues came up. However, my friend went to Korea for hers, and she said as long as you find a place that offers online consultations, remote follow-up is actually quite manageable. It really just depends on which medical team you feel more confident with!
