Hi everyone, I'm Lan. I've been thinking about getting a small aesthetic procedure done in Korea recently, but I'm feeling a bit lost when looking at reviews. My Korean isn't great, and sometimes the translations from apps sound a bit off, so I'm not sure if I'm understanding them correctly. Has anyone else experienced this?
I wanted to ask you all, how do you determine if a review is genuine and reliable? Are there any obvious red flags to watch out for? For example, should I be wary of reviews that promise overly dramatic results? Or are reviews that seem too perfect actually less trustworthy? I'd really love to hear about everyone's experiences.
Also, if you can't read Korean, are there other ways to learn about a clinic? Like asking friends, or observing their attitude during consultations? I know there are no 100% safe choices, but I want to do my homework as much as possible. I hope you can give me some advice!

I totally get how you feel, Ran! My Korean isn't perfect either, so when I read reviews, I often find myself thinking, "Is this really true?" 🥲
In my case, instead of relying on translation apps, I try to carefully observe how the clinic staff interact with me during consultations. If they seem rushed or make exaggerated promises about results, I see that as a red flag. Also, if I can get a referral from someone I know, that's definitely the most reassuring option.
