I'm consulting about my dorsal hump nose, and the advice varies so much between clinics that I'm really confused.
Some clinics insist I absolutely need osteotomy, while others say it's not really necessary. ㅠㅠ
They even say just shaving it down is enough, but shaving and osteotomy are different things, right?

Those two are different surgeries ㅠㅠ You should probably check out other hospitals too ㅠ My friend believed them when they said she didn't need a osteotomy, so she didn't get one, but her dorsal hump remained ㅠ In the end, she looked into revision surgery with an osteotomy.
Oh no, your friend must have been so upset ㅠㅠ I'm scared that might happen to me too.
It might be because each director has slightly different preferences. Some directors aim for perfect and definitive correction, while others prioritize safety and avoid major surgeries. Ultimately, this seems to be a choice the patient has to make. Dr. Yoon Taekyung at Moodon explained these differences really well, like the risks and changes associated with osteotomy versus not having it. That made it easier for me to choose, and the surgery was as safe as possible while still respecting my opinions.
Thank you, I'll have to think about it more ㅠㅠ
