Hello everyone, I'm Yun. I've been thinking about getting double eyelid surgery recently. I've had some doctors recommend it domestically, but a friend told me that some clinics in Seoul have a good reputation for this procedure, and now I'm a bit torn about whether to fly over specifically for it. My main concern is whether it's cost-effective to have the surgery done internationally, considering the costs of flights, accommodation, and taking time off work.
What I'm most concerned about is how to manage the recovery period. If I have the surgery in Seoul, how long do I need to stay there post-operation before I can fly back? I've seen online that some people say it's best not to take long-haul flights within one to two weeks after surgery, while others say they returned home just a few days after their procedure. I'm curious about everyone's actual experiences. Also, will language be an issue? My English is okay, but I don't know any Korean at all.
If any of you have had this type of surgery in Seoul, I'd love to hear your thoughts – mainly whether the trip is worth it and how to judge if a clinic is reliable. I'm still in the undecided stage, so I welcome any advice to help me sort things out!
