Thinking about going to Seoul for double eyelid surgery... is it really worth the trip from the US?

Hey everyone! I've been going back and forth on this for a while now. I'm from the US and I've always been curious about getting double eyelid surgery, and I keep seeing posts about how many people travel to Seoul specifically for this. Part of me thinks it could be amazing to combine it with a trip, but I'm honestly not sure if it makes sense financially or logistically for me.

Like, I'd have to factor in flights, accommodation, time off work for recovery, and all that. Plus I'm nervous about the whole traveling-while-healing thing? I've heard the clinics there have a lot of experience and the results can look really natural, but I'm trying to figure out if that's actually worth uprooting my life for a few weeks, or if I should just explore options closer to home first.

Has anyone here actually done this as an international patient? How did you decide if it was worth it? I'm especially curious about what the recovery was like while being in a different country, and if you felt like the experience justified the whole trip. Any honest thoughts would help me think this through!
