Hi everyone! I'm Nadia from Jakarta, and I'm really confused right now. So I want to try a certain aesthetic procedure, but I'm still wavering between having it done here or daring to fly to Korea. Indonesia is more convenient and closer, but I've heard that the technology in Korea is more advanced and the consultations are more detailed. But I'm also afraid of being far from home if something comes up, and the cost of travel and treatment can be quite a bit.
Those of you who have experienced both, what are your considerations? Is it really worth going to Korea, or is it enough to just find a good place in Indonesia? I'm honestly a bit nervous about the language and navigation there, but maybe that's manageable. My biggest concern is follow-up care when I return to Indonesia.
Anyway, I'm really curious to hear your experiences—how do you make your decisions? Does anyone have any tips on how to properly research clinics from afar? Thanks in advance! 💭

Hi Nadia! I wanted to ask if you've consulted a Korean doctor online yet? You don't even need to go to Korea to ask questions now. And do you think post-treatment care is the biggest concern?
Nadia, I'm also worried about post-treatment care like you! Have you looked into whether it's possible to have an online consultation with a doctor in Korea after returning to Indonesia, or if I have to fly back for a check-up? I'd like to know about the costs and difficulties involved.
I used to have the same worries as you! A little tip: I video-called several clinics in Korea before deciding to fly over. It saved time and allowed me to ask clearly about aftercare. I hope you find the best option! 😊
Hey Nadia! I totally understand your concerns about follow-up care; it's certainly an important consideration. In my experience, it's best if clinics in Korea allow for chat or video calls for follow-up consultations, so you don't have to worry about being alone in Jakarta. Perhaps during your initial consultation, ask about how they handle aftercare for patients returning overseas — good ones definitely have a process! 😊
