Hi everyone, I'm Dan. I've been considering a minor cosmetic procedure recently, but I have a business trip scheduled for a week right after. I'm a bit worried. I'd like to ask for advice from experienced members here: what should I pay special attention to during the post-operative swelling period? Has anyone had experience with having a procedure done right before a flight or long-distance travel?
I mainly want to know if, besides the post-operative care instructions from the doctor, I need to prepare any additional products myself. For example, things for cold compresses, gentle skincare products, that sort of thing. Also, how can I better manage swelling during my business trip? I've heard it's important to avoid spicy food and alcohol, but it's actually hard to completely avoid them...
Additionally, I'd like to ask everyone, is it very awkward to go out in the first few days after the procedure? Do I need to do any mental preparation? 😅 If anyone has relevant experience, I would be really grateful if you could share some advice!

Hi sis, did you ask the doctor how many days after surgery it's safe to fly? I have a business trip coming up soon too and I'm really worried about this.
Hi Dani! I'm curious, when you mentioned a long trip, how many hours was the flight? Because I'm also planning a procedure and worried about swelling when flying, I'd love to hear about others' experiences!
Same here! I was also confused about post-treatment care because I had to travel far, but honestly, just listening to the doctor and preparing a few small things gets you through it. Personally, I like to bring a small bag for cooling supplies and gentle creams. As for spicy food and alcohol, if it's not severe, you can just reduce them; you don't have to cut them out completely 😅
Just wondering if you've considered pushing back your appointment? I'm wrestling with the same decision, but I've heard it can be tough to maintain proper skincare during business trips. I'd love to hear how you ultimately decided! 😅
I had a small procedure done before my beauty trip, so bringing a cooling mask with a roller was a real help. Understanding that the face tends to get drier during flights, the aviator used a very resourceful container or a shallow dish.
I was worried about this too before my trip! It felt strange in the first few days, especially with swelling, but I think the most important thing is to follow your doctor's instructions and don't be afraid to rest more during your trip—I actually felt more comfortable just staying in the hotel than going out sightseeing, hehe. As for spicy food and alcohol, I agree it's hard to avoid 100%, but at least I tried to minimize it during the first week and see how my skin responded. Hope your trip goes smoothly! 😊
