Hi everyone, I'm Hong. I've been thinking about getting a minor cosmetic treatment recently, but I have an international trip planned in two weeks, so I'm a bit worried about the timing. I've heard that swelling can occur during the recovery period, and I wanted to ask experienced members here how to prepare if I plan to bring products on the plane.
Mainly, I'd like to know: Can products for reducing swelling (like cold compresses or skincare) be brought on board? Are there any restrictions on liquids? Are there any specific types of skincare products you'd recommend for use during travel? I'm also a bit unsure about exactly when the swelling will subside, so I want to do my research beforehand.
Additionally, I'd love to hear about your experiences – have any of you undergone similar treatments before traveling abroad? Does facial swelling worsen during flights? Are there any special precautions I should take? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been in a similar situation and totally panicked about the timing! From my friends' experiences, it seems the most helpful things are packing lightweight skincare products that are allowed on planes (check the size and quantity), plus bringing a gel cold compress pad that can be kept in a regular bag. Everyone's situation is different, of course, but many say that flying can make swelling a bit more noticeable due to air pressure changes, so strategic timing might be necessary or you might need to be ready with sunglasses 😅
I've experienced something similar! Honestly, for liquid products, it's safer to buy them at duty-free or bring travel-sized items to comply with regulations. A tip from my experience, a cooling pillow or even a gel ice pack bought after security check can be helpful during the flight—try asking the flight attendant too, they're usually helpful with these kinds of things!
