Hi everyone, I'm Ting. I wanted to ask if anyone has had a nose filler done in Korea, specifically the non-surgical injectable kind. I'm planning to come to Seoul next week to get it done, but I'll be flying back home a week later. I'm wondering if there will still be noticeable swelling or bruising by then?
I've heard that the recovery time for non-surgical procedures should be quite fast, but I'm really not sure how long it takes to look natural. Has anyone been through this? Can I take a long-haul flight within a few days after the injection? How far in advance should I book to be safe?
Also, I'd like to know if flying after the injection will have any impact. I'm a bit worried if changes in air pressure might affect the results or worsen the swelling. If anyone has experience with this, I'd love to hear about it!

I understand, I had the same concern! It's really nerve-wracking when you have a flight just a week away. From what I've heard, non-surgical fillers tend to have swelling that subsides relatively quickly, but it seems to vary quite a bit from person to person. So, if possible, it might be best to honestly tell your doctor during your consultation, "I have a flight next week." They should be able to advise you on how many days you should leave between the procedure and your flight. There's also the concern about air pressure, so I really think asking a professional directly is the safest bet!
Hi there, did you ask directly with the place where you're getting the procedure done? I think they have experience with tourists, so they might be able to give specific advice on recovery time before flying. Wishing you success with this process!
After my last procedure in Seoul, the doctor advised me to wait at least 3-5 days before taking a long-haul flight, mainly due to concerns that changes in air pressure could worsen swelling. In my experience, there was noticeable swelling for the first two days, but by the fifth day, it was barely visible, and I had no issues during my flight. However, everyone's recovery speed is different, so it's best to consult your doctor for the most reliable advice!
I was thinking about this too 😅 May I ask, what are your plans for post-procedure facial care besides avoiding irritants? Is there anything else that can help reduce swelling faster?
Oh, I totally understand your concern! I've also heard that non-surgical injections usually heal quickly, but there's still a risk of swelling and bruising. Honestly, you should ask your doctor first if it's suitable for you, as everyone is different 😅
